Viktor Nedelchev, R.Ac., M.D. (Bulgaria)
Registered Acupuncturist
Introduced to the Traditional Chinese Medicine in early 1994, when he started to practice Tai Chi and Qi Gong in his home town in Bulgaria.
Later on, he enrolled in the Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, where for 6 years studied the core concepts of western medicine. As a medical student, he started volunteering with Dr. Emil Iliev M.D, who practiced medical acupuncture and was a Head of the Bulgarian Society of TCM for Physicians.
He started his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Military Medical Academy, Sofia, but he realized that without proper training and a deep knowledge of other complementary practices, he would not be able to practice holistic medicine and to combine the best western and eastern practices.
He moved to Vancouver, BC to study at PCU College of Holistic medicine. He was grateful to have highly skilled and experienced teachers from Mainland China, who thought him to the core concept of acupuncture, acupressure, cupping therapy, clean needle technique and herbal medicine.
This gave him the opportunity to combine his extensive Western medical knowledge and the gentle Eastern approach to health and healing for better helping and empowering his patients.
Dr.Nedelchev strongly believes in the integrative rehabilitation medicine and a patient-centered treatment. That is why in his practice he tried to guide patients to discover their own personal ability and potential to heal by turning his focus of practice on prevention and the study of the body, mind and spirit relationship.
He continues to practice Tai Chi form of William C.C.Chen and Qi Gong on daily basis and teaches some of his patient to improve their lifestyle.
