Biography

I was intrigued by the Chinese Medicine and the idea of Qi (energy) in 1994. Soon I started practicing Tai Chi and Qi Gong in my home town.
Later on I enrolled in the Medical University of Sofia (Bulgaria) where for 6 years I studied core concepts of western medicine.
As a student I started volunteering with Dr.Emil Iliev who practiced acupuncture and continued with my martial art training.
I got my residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, but I realized that without proper training and a deep knowledge of Traditional Chinese medicine, I would not be able to practice Holistic medicine.
For this reason I moved to Vancouver, BC to study at PCU College of Holistic medicine. I was grateful to have highly skilled and experienced teachers from Mainland China.
This gave me the opportunity to combine my Western medical knowledge and the Eastern approach to health and healing for better helping my patients.
I strongly believe in the integrative medicine and a patient-centered treatment. That is why in my practice I try to guide patients to discover their own ability to heal by turning my focus on prevention and the study of the body, mind and spirit relationship.
Currently I practice Qi Gong and Tai Chi on my own and Ba Gua (a form of Martial art) with Master Li Rong in Vancouver.
