Special packages for Weight Loss and Quit Smoking
1. The patient is responsible for the payment at time of service.
We do not bill directly to the Insurance companies.
2. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation must be made during clinic office hours at least one day
prior to the appointment. Monday appointments need to be cancelled on
Saturday. Patients canceling the same day of treatment, missing their
appointment, or arriving late will be charged full fee according to
the time booked. If you need to reschedule please notify the clinic
at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellation fees
will also apply to new patients for a missed first visit.
3. Insurance Coverage
Look into your individual Extended Health plan, including ICBC, RCMP
and WCB for details of coverage. Full payment is made at the time of
treatment and receipts provided to insurance company. They may impose
limitations, such as number of treatments, conditions treated or requiring
the referral of a medical doctor.
Some extended health plans covers the Cosmetic Acupuncture as a medical
procedure.
NB: Effective April 2008 : Acupuncture treatments will be covered
under MSP. Low-income B.C. residents on the premium-assistance program,
those earning $28,000 a year or less will be able to see a registered
acupuncturist / www.ctcma.bc.ca /under
the Medical Services Plan and can claim $23.00 per visit for a total
of 10 visits per year just as they would with other alternative medical
practices such as physiotherapy, chiropractic or massage therapy.
